Meet Carmen Luong! Carmen is coming up on her one year Fearless-versary and we could not be more thrilled to have her in classes. Her friendliness, determination, and can-do attitude are well known to both her coaches and fellow gym goers, but if you’ve never been in a class with Carmen, get to know her here!

What brought you to Fearless Athletics?
I joined last summer when Fearless opened back up after the first COVID shutdown. The gyms closing pushed me to try something new and challenge myself!
Who or inspires you?
My students inspire me the most. I work with children with autism and they are the most unique individuals ever! They bring me so much joy and I learn something new from them everyday. Most importantly, they teach me how to be more patient and understanding.
What are you excited about right now?
I just passed my boards exam so now I can officially call myself a Board Certified Behavior Analyst! This just opened up so many new opportunities, so I’m excited to see where this takes me.
What is one goal you hope to achieve in the next 12 months?
I have to give Coach Natalie credit on this one. My goal is to be more confident in my lifting, especially my snatches and clean & jerks (I get very anxious with heavy weights and overhead movements).
What does wellness mean to you?
One word: balance. Balance with all aspects of my life—mental health, physical health, family, work, social life, etc.
If you were stranded on a deserted island and could bring only one piece of fitness equipment with you, what would it be and why?
I would bring a kettle bell because you can hit a bunch of different muscle groups!
What is one thing people may not know about you or would never guess?
I used to play soccer.
What are you listening to right now?
- Somebody New – TELYKast
- Moonlight – Gaullin
- Turn Back Time – Diplo, Sonny Fodera
