January 2012 and have been coaching since May 2016.
My favorite movement
Strict Pull up. I love that it’s a body weight strength movement; it’s really empowering to be able to pull yourself up unassisted. It is also very rewarding to help an athlete progress from using a band to completing one unassisted.
Favorite WOD or Type of WOD
I really enjoy WODs that are “For Time” as it gives athletes the opportunity to compete against the clock and one another.
The word “Fearless” means
Pushing myself well beyond my comfort zone (I overcame my fear of water by learning to swim at 38, I even competed in an indoor sprint triathlon a few months later)! The philosophy and community that comes with being a member of Fearless Athletics gave me the courage to eradicate this fear.
My SMART Goal
To finally master the double-under. I currently do double-single-double, repeat, I would love to do 10 unbroken double-unders by January 2017.
